How To Insert A Online Video In Word
Posted by officesmart
We have all probably thought if there was a way in order to insert a video in a Word document. Not only in our presentations, or demonstrating them online. Well, with the New Office we have the way!!! The steps are quite simple and described below.
In order of us to Insert an Online Video we must select the Insert Tab and then from the area of the ribbon named Media we have to select the Online Video command as shown in the image below:
Once selected, the Insert Video window appears where we can select from the following three (3) options:
Bing Video Search (Search the web)
YouTube (The largest worldwide video-sharing community)
From a Video Embed Code (Paste the embed code to insert a video from a web site)
Bing Video Search (Search the Web):
In the search pane at the right of the window, we type in the keyword of the video that we are searching for. In my example I have written the keyword “The Dark Knight Rises” and I have pressed the Enter key. In a couple of seconds the results of the keyword that I had typed in are displayed. Bing notifies us that the results are 39100. Moving on top of each video clip we have a brief description of the video, and by clicking on the magnification tool we can preview larger the video. Finally by pressing the Play button we can view it. If we are satisfied with the video we can double click on it in order for it to be inserted on our Word document or press the Enter button.
YouTube (The largest worldwide video-sharing community):
The same procedure we follow with YouTube in order to insert a video in our Word document. The keyword used in the example below is “The Amazing Spiderman” as we can see in the image below.
From a Video Embed Code (Paste the embed code to insert a video from a web site):
With this option, we must navigate through the Web in order to locate the video that we want to use. Then we must copy the Embed Code and return to our document and use the Paste button on the Insert Video window as shown in the image below.
Once the Embed Code is pasted in the pane at the right of the command From A Video Embed Code we press the arrow at the right or press the Enter button once as we can see below in ordrer for the video to be inserted in our document.
Whichever way from the above three (3) options we select, the video will be inserted in our Word document as we can see in the image below.
All we have to do is to press the Play button and the video will start playing.
