New Comments Feature in PowerPoint 13
We are all used to adding Comments in a PowerPoint Presentation by using the Review tab and then from the area of the ribbon named Comments we add a Comment, delete it or move to the next or previous comment. Now in PowerPoint 13 the procedure of adding a Comment and editing it is a piece of cake!
At the bottom of our Presentation at the Status bar, we notice the Comments command as shown in the image below.
If by any reason the Comments command does not appear on the Status bar, we just to a right click on it and from the shortcut menu that appears we activate the Comments command as shown in the image below.
Once we select the Comments command the Comments task pane appears at the right of our presentation as shown in the image below. The task pane tells us that there are no comments in the presentation and that we can be the first to add one.
All we have to do is to press the New button and start typing our comment. We see in the image below that it tells us the author of the comment and how long ago it was written.
Once we have written the comment and we had another author reviewing our presentation he could have just clicked on the comment and pressed the Enter button on our keyboard and straight away he or she could have replied to our comment.
If we want to add another comment we press the New button once again, and start to type our new comment. Now we see that the times have changed for the previous comments as shown below.
If we want to move to the Previous Comment we just press the first icon on the top right corner of the Comments Task Pane as shown in the image below.
If we want to move to the Next Comment we just press the second icon on the top right corner of the Comments Task Pane as shown in the image below.
If we want to delete a Comment we just move on top of the particular Comment which a Delete icon appears at the top right corner, where we just press it and the Comment is deleted.
Once we have added Comments in our presentation, small cloud icons appear in the top left corner of our presentation as shown below. If we click on any cloud the corresponding Comment in the task pane will be highlighted.
If by any accident the Comments Pane does not appear we can always activate it by selecting the Review tab and from the area of the ribbon named Comments we select the arrow at the right of the command Show Comments as we can see below. The drop down menu appears with the two commands available which are Comments Pane and Show Markup. We just activate or deactivate the one that we want.
