Do you want to change the default settings in Excel?
For example you want to change the default Font, default Font Size, the way Excels’, View shows up when we start the application? Or do you want to change the default number of Worksheets that Excel starts with?
For instance, when Excel starts the default Font is Calibri, the default Font Size is 11, the View is Normal and the number of Worksheets is 1 as shown in the image below.
First of all we must select the File tab in order to move to backstage view, and then from the drop down menu that appears we select the Options category which is located at the bottom left of the drop down menu.
Once the category Options is selected, the Excel Options dialog box appears as we can see in the image below. Then from this dialog box we make sure that the General category is selected from the left of the window as shown below.
Once we make sure the General category is selected, we locate the area named: When Creating New Workbooks as we can see in the image below.
Under this area we have the following options:
Use This As The Default Font:
Default View For New Sheets:
Include This Many Sheets:
Use This As The Default Font: If we select the arrow at the right of this command, the drop down menu will appear with all of our available Fonts to select from in order for it to be the Default Font, as we can see in the image below.
Font Size: If we select the arrow at the right of this command the drop down menu will appear with all the available Font Sizes to select from in order for it to be the Default Font Size, as we can see in the image below.
