Set Importance and Sensitivity In Outlook 13

Do you send your mails with High Priority?  Do you always want the Sensitivity Level to be Confidential?  Nothing to worry about anymore!!! The procedure to change the Default Importance Level and Default Sensitivity Level in Outlook 13 is very simple and will be described below.

First of all we must select the File tab in order to move to backstage view, and then from the drop down menu that appears we select the category Options from the left of the menu as shown in the image below.

File - Options - Advanced

Once selected the Outlook Options window appears, where from the left we select the category Mail as we can see below.

Once the Mail category is selected, we scroll down in the window until we locate the area named Send Messages as shown in the image below.

Mail - Messages

Under the Send Messages area we can change the default settings for one of the following:

  • Default Importance Level: At the right of this command, when we select the drop down menu in order for it to appear with all the available commands, we can change the Default Importance Level either to Low, Normal and High. We just select the importance that we want by clicking on it, and from now on every time we create a new mail message the Importance of the mail will be the one that we had selected as we can see in the image below.
