Hide & Unhide Sheets in Excel 13
In the previous post of mine, I described how to Hide or Unhide Rows and Columns in Excel 13. In this post, I will describe how to Hide or Unhide Sheets in a Workbook. A feature very handy, which comes useful when we want to make our Workbook less crowdie when it contains many sheets. All we have to do is to follow the steps below.
First, we move over with our mouse over the sheet that we want to hide, and then we do a right click on the sheet. Straight away the shortcut menu appears as shown in the image below, where we select the command Hide.
Immediately the sheet that we had selected is hidden as we can see below. In the image above we had three sheets in our workbook, and in the image below we have two now.
Now in order to Unhide the hidden sheet, we must move over with our mouse again over the left sheets and do a right click again. The shortcut menu appears again as shown below, where this time we select the command Unhide.
Once we select the Unhide command from the shortcut menu, the Unhide dialog box appears where we select the Sheet that we want to Unhide. In this dialog box, all the Sheets that we might have hidden will appear. We just have to select the one that we want to Unhide and then press the OK button.
In the image below, we see the Unhide dialog box, with the two hidden sheets available. All we have to do as mentioned above is to select the one we want to Unhide, and then press the OK button. The hidden sheet will appear once again in our Workbook.
Another way to Hide and Unhide a sheet or sheets in our Workbook is from the Home tab of the ribbon and from the area named Cells, we select the Format button as shown below. Once the Format button is selected the drop down menu appears, where we navigate to the area Visibility and then the Hide & Unhide area, where the other drop down menu appears where we can select either the command Hide Sheet or Unhide Sheet, depending on what we want to do.
Below you can check out the video describing how to Hide or Unhide Sheets in Excel 13.
