Insert Outlook Item in Outlook 13
Posted by officesmart
Outlook Item definition: The Outlook Item MSG (.msg) file format is a syntax for storing a single Message object, such as an email, an appointment, a contact, a task, and so on, in a file.
So now that we know what an Outlook Item is, how do we insert one in a Mail Message in Outlook 13; All we have to do is to follow the steps below.
First, we must create a new E-mail message in order to insert an Outlook Item as shown in the image below.
Once the new E-mail message is created, we then select the Insert tab and then from the left of the ribbon, we locate the area Include we select the command Outlook Item as shown in the image below.
Once the Outlook Item command is selected, the Insert Item dialog box appears as shown in the image below. From this dialog box, we can select any Outlook Item we want to send with our new E-mail message. We can see all the Folders that are created in our Mailbox.
Once we select the desired folder, at the bottom of the window we have a preview of the messages that are in the specific folder. All we have to do is to select the message that we want to Insert as an Outlook Item in our new mail. At the right we can either select to Insert the Outlook Item as Text Only or as an a Attachment. All we have to do is to activate the check box at the left of what we want. For this example, I have selected to Insert the Outlook Item as an a Attachment. Once finished we just press the OK button.
In the next image we notice that the Outlook Item that we had selected to insert in our new E-mail, has been inserted as an Attachment. All we have to do left is to fill in the other Outlook Fields, and then just send the message.
