Zoom Slider in Outlook 13
Posted by officesmart
In Outlook 13, we have a new feature available, which we could also find in Word. That is the Zoom Slider. We can use the Zoom Slider to make quickly and easily adjustments to the Zoom Level for the Message that we are viewing. Say that text of an E-mail is to small to read easily, or to large that doesn’t fit in the Preview Pane, that is where the Zoom Slider comes in. All we have to do to use the Zoom Slider is to follow the steps described below.
At the bottom right corner of Outlook 13 and in the Preview Pane, we notice the Zoom Slider as shown in the image below. Once the Zoom Slider is located we notice the decrease (minus symbol) and increase (plus symbol) areas of the Zoom Slider. In the image below the Zoom is 100%.
All we have to do in order to decrease the View of the Mail is to press with our mouse on the minus area of the Zoom Slider in order to decrease the View, or hold our mouse on the middle icon of the Zoom Slider area and drag it towards left.
In order to increase the View of the Mail is to press with our mouse on the plus area of the Zoom Slider in order to increase the View, or hold our mouse on the middle icon of the Zoom Slider area and drag it towards right.
In the image below, we can see how the preview of the message is decreased to the percentage that we want. While we drag the icon or press on the minus area of the Zoom Slider area, we can see the percentage that appears while scrolling.
In the image below, we can see how the preview of the message is increased to the percentage that we want. While we drag the icon or press on the plus area of the Zoom Slider area, we can see the percentage that appears while scrolling.
The only bad thing about the Zoom Slider is the fact that it does not carry over to other messages in our Inbox. If we click away from one zoomed email and then click back on it, the zoom setting that we applied is lost.
Below you can check out the video on how to use the Zoom Slider in Outlook 13
