Create And Present A Custom Show in PowerPoint 13
In PowerPoint 13, we can create a basic Custom Show, which is separate Presentation that includes some of the Slides of the original Presentation. When we create a Custom Show, we show an independent group of slides from our Presentation. In order to create a Custom Show in PowerPoint 13, we just have to follow the steps below.
We must select the Slide Show tab and then from the area of the ribbon named Start Slide Show we select the command Custom Slide Show as shown in the image below.
Once selected the Custom Shows dialog box appears as we can see in the image below. In this dialog box in order to create a Custom Slide Show we press the New button which is located at the right of the window.
Once the New button is selected the Define Custom Show window appears where we can do the following:
At the text pane which is located at the right of the area named Slide Show Name, we can type in the name that we want for our Custom Show.
Right beneath we can see the Slides In Presentation. All we have to do is to activate the check boxes next to the Slides that we want to Add into the Slides in Custom Show pane which is located at the right of the Define Custom Show window.
In the next image we can see in the Define Custom Show window, all the Slides that we have added in to the Slides In Custom Show pane. At the right of the Slides In Custom Show pane we can use the Up and Down arrows to rearrange the order of the Slides or use the Delete button in order to remove a Slide from this pane. Once we have finished, we just press the OK button, which is located at the bottom right corner of the Define Custom Show window in order to create our Custom Show.
We then return to the Custom Shows window, where we can see the saved Custom Show in the pane. At the right of this window we can do the following:
New: We can create a New Custom Show
Edit: We can Edit an existing Custom Show
Remove: We can Remove an existing Custom Show
Copy: We can Copy and existing Custom Show
Close: We Close this window.
Show: We select the Custom Show that we want to be displayed
Now, from the Slide Show tab and from the area of the ribbon named Start Slide Show, if we select the Custom Slide Show command, from the drop down menu that appears, we will notice now the name of the Custom Show that we created before. All we have to do is to select it and the Slide Show will start.
