How To Add A Room in Outlook 2016
When we are creating a Meeting Request, we usually include the Location of the Meeting in our request. In order to find a Room, we usually use the Address Book in order for it to be held. In this post I will describe how to Add A Room in Outlook 2016. In order to use this feature we must use a Microsoft Exchange Server Account.
First of all, we must select the File tab in order to move to Backstage View. Once in Backstage View the Info category is selected by default as shown in the image below. Then from the right of the menu and under Account Information, we locate the area named Account Settings and select the Account Settings command and from the drop down menu that appears we select the same command.
Once the Account Settings command is selected, the Account Settings window appears as shown below. First we must select the E-Mail Account that we want to configure and then select the Change command.
Once done, the Change Account window appears, where at the bottom right corner of the window we select the More Settings command as we can see in the image below.
Once the More Settings command is selected, a new window appears named Microsoft Exchange, where from this window we must activate the Advanced tab and under the area Mailboxes, and Open These Additional Mailboxes we select the command Add which is located at the right as shown in the image below.
The Add Mailbox window appears where all we have to do is to type in the Name of the Room that we want to add in the Add Mailbox text area.
Once done, we press the Ok button on all the open windows in order for us to return in our Inbox.
That’s it. We have successfully added a Room in Outlook 2016. By adding Rooms in Outlook, it helps us stay organized when we plan Meetings. In order to see how Rooms work in Outlook 2016, have a look at the previous post of mine Room Finder in Outlook 2016.
