Browser View Options In Excel 2016
Posted by officesmart
In Excel 2016, we have the option to specify how we want a Workbook to be displayed in a browser window. This way we can choose what we want to be viewed in our Workbook, when other people view it in a browser window. This is where the Browser View Options command appears in Excel. All you need to do is to follow the steps below:
First of all, we must select the File tab in order to move to backstage view. Once in backstage view, we make sure the Info category is selected from the left and then from the middle of the drop down menu we navigate and locate the area named Browser View Options as shown in the image below. Here we are notified that we can Pick What Users Can See When This Workbook Is Viewed On The Web.
Once we select the Browser View Options command, the Browser View Options window appears as shown in the image below. This window is separated by two tab, the Show tab and the Parameters tab. In the image below the Show tab is activated, where we can choose the sheets and the named items that we want to be shown when viewed in the browser.
In the image below, the Entire Workbook view option is selected and right below we notice that all our Sheets in our Workbook are activated.
In the image below, I have activated the drop down menu, where we can choose from either one of the following:
Items in the Workbook
In the image below I have selected from the drop down menu Sheets, and right below we have the option to activate or deactivate the Sheets that are in our Workbook.
In the image below I have selected from the drop down menu Items In The Workbook, and right below we have the option to activate or deactivate the Items that are in our Workbook.
In the following image I have activated the Parameters tab. Once on the Parameters tab, we can either Add a Parameter that is in our Workbook by using the Add button. Once we have added parameters in the Browser View Options, we can either Delete it, or Delete All in case we have added many of them.
Once we have finished all the adjustments needed in the Browser View Options window, we press the Ok button in order to return to our Workbook.
Below you can check out the video describing the Browser View Options command in Excel 2016.
