Don’t Copy & Paste; Duplicate Slides in PowerPoint 2016
There are times that we want to add a Slide that contains the content of an existing Slide in a Presentation. What do we do? Certainly not Copy & Paste. The easiest and more simple way is to Duplicate the Slide or Slides that we want. In order to learn how to Duplicate Slide or Slides in PowerPoint 2016 is to follow the steps below.
First we must select the Slide or Slides from the left of the Navigation Pane that we want to be Duplicated. In the next image I have selected the first and third Slide.
Once the Slides are selected, from the Home tab of the ribbon we select the New Slide command from the area of the ribbon named Slides. From the drop down menu that appears, at the bottom we select the command Duplicate Selected Slides as shown below.
Another way to Duplicate Slides is to have the Slide or Slides selected, and then to select the Insert tab and from the area of the ribbon named Slides is to select the New Slide command. Once selected the drop down menu appears where once again from the drop down menu we select the command Duplicate Selected Slides.
And finally, the last way to Duplicate the selected Slide or Slides is once they are selected, we do a right click on our mouse in order for the shortcut menu to appear as shown in the image below. Then from the shortcut menu we select the command Duplicate Slide.
Whatever way we use to Duplicate our Slide or Slides, the Duplicate Slides will be inserted below the last selected Slide.
