Insert Recent Links in Office 365

Sometimes when we are working on a Document, Workbook, Presentation or E-Mail Message, we wonder that it would be great if we could just include a link quickly and easy. Well, now we can and it is a procedure which isn’t that long and complicated. All you need to do is to continue reading the post below.

Insert Recent Links in Office 365

In the image below, Microsoft Word application is running and I have selected the Insert tab. Then from the area of the ribbon we locate the Links area as shown below.

Word Document

Once we locate the Links area of the ribbon, we select the Link command as shown below, where the drop-down menu appears with all the Recent Items that we can insert as a Link. Note that the only files that are presented to us are the ones that we recently worked on, and are stored in either SharePoint or OneDrive. At the bottom of the drop down menu, we can select the Insert Link command, where the Insert Hyperlink dialog box will appear and which I have mentioned in a previous post of mine for Excel, which you can read here. All we need to do is to select one of the Recent Items that we need and the Link will be inserted in our Document or in the selected Text.
