Create New Calendar Groups in Outlook 365
Many times, in Outlook, we have a set of Calendars that we often view together. These Calendars may be Work Calendars, Colleagues or Family Birthdays Calendars. In Outlook, we can actually Group these Calendars or any Calendars that we wish to, so it can make it easy for us to see the combined schedules at a glance. In order to learn How to Create A New Calendar Group in Outlook, just continue reading the post below.
Once we are transferred to our Calendar in Outlook 365, the Home tab is activated as shown in the image below. Then we must locate the Manage Calendars area of the ribbon to proceed, as we notice below.
The we select the Calendar Groups command as shown below, where the drop-down menu appears, and we select the Create New Calendar Group. By using this command, we create a new Calendar group, which will be located at the Folder Pane.
Once the Create New Calendar Group command is selected, the Create New Calendar Group dialog box appears as shown below. In this dialog box, we just type in the Name we want for our Calendar Group and then press the Ok button.
Once we have typed in the Name for our Calendar Group and pressed the Ok button, the Select Name: Contacts window appears as shown in the image below.
In the Select Name: Contacts window, we select the Contacts that we want to be included in our Calendar Group. We select one Name, and at the bottom left corner of the window we press the Group Members button for the Contacts Name to be displayed in the text area. We repeat the same procedure for the other Contacts that we want to be included in our Calendar Group.
Once finished with the selection of the Contacts, we press the Ok button, where the Microsoft Outlook dialog box appears, notifying us that it is Retrieving Data in order to Create a Sharing Folder.
After a few seconds, the New Calendar Group is created, where it is located at the bottom left corner of the Folder Pane as shown below. We can notice the Name of the New Calendar Group, we can notice that it is activated by the check box at the left of the Name. We can also see the Calendar Group in the middle of our Outlook Window, with all the Contacts Names that we selected to be included in the New Calendar Group.
Keep in mind that any Calendar in the Navigation Pane can be viewed together with any group even if it is not a member of that Group. We can display or hide any Calendar by activating or deactivating the check box in the Navigation Pane or by clicking the Close button on the Calendars tab. By not displaying a Calendar, doesn’t mean that it is also removed.
