How To Set Working Hours and Days in Outlook

In Microsoft Outlook, we can set our own Calendar Work Days and Working Hours. By default, in Outlook, the Work Week is set from Monday to Friday, and the Work Day Hours are from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. Also the Week begins with Sunday. In Outlook though, if we work different Days or Hours, or our Week Day begins with a different Day, we can change all of them and set them to what we prefer. How To Set Working Hours and Days in Outlook 365

First, we must have Outlook open, and then select the File menu in order to move to Backstage View. Once in Backstage View, the drop-down menu appears where from the left we select the category Options as shown below

Once we select the category Options, the Outlook Options dialog box appears as we can see in the image below. In the Outlook Options dialog box, we select the category Calendar. Once this category is selected we are notified that we can:

Change The Settings For Calendars, Meetings And Time Zones.

Outlook Options - Advanced in Outlook

At the top part of the category Calendar of the Outlook Options dialog box, we locate the area, where it mentions Work Time. In this area we can do the arrangements for the following:

  • Start Time: We select the arrow from the right of the Start Time and set a different Start Time.
  • End Time: We select the arrow from the right of the End Time and set a different End Time.
  • Start Time and End Time are used for our Free – Busy Time availability for Meeting Requests from other people.
  • Work Week: We activate or deactivate the check boxes to set our Work Week. We check the boxes that are part of our Work Week, and we clear the check boxes that are not part of our Work Week.
  • First Day of Week: We select the arrow from the right of the First Day of Week and set a different First Day of Week.
  • First Week of Year: We select the arrow from the right of the First Week of Year and set a different First Week of Year.

Time Schedule in Outlook

Once we have done finishing our adjustments, we press the OK button which is located at the bottom right corner of the Outlook Options window, in order for the adjustments to take place and to return to Outlook.
